Huang Shan Mao Feng

Huang Shan Mao Feng

$12.00

Huang Shan Mao Feng or Yellow Mountain Fur Peak comes from the Huang Shan area in Anhui Province, China.

This tea was harvested mid-March, before the Qing Ming festival. The pluck consists of one bud to one leaf.
After the withering process, the tea is placed in a hot wok and moved around to evenly dry the tea as well as start the de-enzyming process. When the tea has lost enough moisture, the temperature of the wok is reduced and the leaves are then scooped up and hand rolled before being dropped back into the wok. This process is repeated until the leaves are dry, have a lighter green color, and retain a straight yet slightly twisted shape.
